What is the deal with Tinder’s height filter?

Recently, Tinder has been facing some backlash for its plans to launch a new height filter. There has been a never-ending supply of articles and social media posts criticizing this new feature. And I’m going to explain why nearly all of them are wrong.

Why does the height filter not matter?

The answer is very simple. In order to access this feature, you need to have Tinder Platinum (the most expensive tier). And girls simply don’t pay for Tinder, because they don’t have to. And if they do pay, it’s certainly not going to be the most expensive tier. That is almost exclusively paid for by men.

There might be the rare highly unattractive girl who pays for it, but I promise you, cute girls (or even not-so-cute ones) are not putting down their credit cards. And thus this new change will have almost zero effect on you, even if you are a much shorter guy.

However, none of the people writing about this seem willing to state this simple truth, because I guess fear-mongering sells. But don’t worry, this won’t matter.
